A one-act musical based on the German Fairy Tale first published in a Grimms’ Fairy Tale collection in the 1800s. The Bremen Town Musicians tells the story of four aging animals, who after a lifetime of hard work are neglected, mistreated, or kicked out by their masters. They run away together and aspire to become town musicians in the city of Bremen. A run-in with a band of robbers changes everything!

Henry Buxton (Narrator) - Henry has quite enjoyed about preforming for the Tecumseh Players once again after having done some prior performances with them. He has also done a handful of shows outside of the Tecumseh Players in the past with the one he is most proud about being in Chicago Teen Edition with the TYT.

George Reasoner (Horace) - George is thrilled to be reprising his 2023 role as Horace. As Farmer Johnson, Batman and Mr. Cavatelli, George was a part of all three one-act plays last summer. He also appeared in this summer’s production of George M! at The Croswell Opera House. He lives in Tecumseh with his wife of 49 years, 363 days, Mary Beth. He was an electronics engineer designing check processing equipment for 40 years before retiring in 2017. He sings with the First Presbyterian Church choir, Chiaroscuro Men's Chorus, TCA Big Band and Tecumseh Community Chorus. He enjoys photography, nature, and travel. Thanks to Nona and the Tecumseh Players for another opportunity to entertain an audience.

Kylie McElrath (Ernie) - Kylie is excited to take to the stage for the Tecumseh Players. Kylie has been living and working in Michigan for about 7 years and is no stranger to the local theaters in the area. Her most recent roles include Patchy the Pirate and Hero. Kylie would like to thank Aaron, her partner and everyone for coming out and supporting outdoor theater.

Hannah Wiles (Mouser) - Hannah is thrilled to be appearing in The Bremen Town Musicians as Mouser! Previous credits include Head Elf (Tecumseh Players), Spamalot (River Raisin Centre for the Arts), An Actor's Nightmare (The Croswell), and Moby Dick: The Musical (Ann Arbor Musical Theatre Works). Acting has always been Hannah's greatest passion, and she's so grateful to continue sharing it on stage.

She lovingly dedicates this performance to her mom, whose unwavering support of her theater dreams continues to inspire her every day. Thank you to her family for their endless love and encouragement. Enjoy the show!

Niki Easter (Raul) - Niki is delighted to be back on stage with the Tecumseh Players! Some of her favorite past roles include Draculette in I’m Sorry the Bridge Is Out, You’ll Have to Spend the Night (Tecumseh Players), Miss Crookshank in Miracle on 34th Street (The Croswell), and Jenn/Carla in 26 Pebbles (University of Toledo/Issue Box Theater).

By day, Niki teaches English at Sand Creek High School, where she also co-directs the theatre program and enthusiastically convinces teenagers that public speaking will not kill you and Shakespeare’s jokes were actually pretty good once you know what they’re talking about. She would like to thank her family for supporting yet another theatrical adventure and her pets Z and Potato for always being available for line runs, being scene partners, and excellent listeners —as long as snacks are involved.

Annabelle Rhoades (Robber Fred) - Annabelle is thrilled to be part of her second performance with the Tecumseh Players this summer. She is having a blast being part of this wonderful and creative community. Pastimes include reading, playing with her brother, hanging out with friends and family, playing a wide variety of sports, and participating in other activities such as helping the community in Builder’s Club. And of course, musicals/plays! Recent productions include a singing recital and the WTCA’s “It’s A Wonderful Life” play as Zuzu Bailey and part of the choir, and Head Elf as Henrietta. Thanks to mom, dad, and little brother for their love and support always. Annabelle does not live with a cat or a dog, and would like to thank this cast and the cast of the last show for trying to help change that! So if you ever need a pet-sitter, you know where to find her. (At the Lenawee Humane Society, library, or at an audition.) She hopes that you enjoy this groovy, laugh out loud show. Thank you!

Piper Holtz (Robber Ted) - This is Piper's third one act of the summer and she is so excited to share it with you. She has been performing with the Players for a few years now, and she has loved every minute of it. She would like to thank her director and castmates for creating such a fantastic performance and her family for always supporting her.

Nona J. Bennett (Director) - Nona has been active with The Tecumseh Players both on stage and off for many years. She is extremely grateful for the creativity, joy, and friendships The Players have brought to her life. She loves the process of bringing a story to life through acting and song. This talented cast of Bremen has been an exceptional blessing to work with. They have added new bits, new jokes, and a new song to a favorite script. Nona would like to thank the love of her life, husband Dan, for all of his help and support, and their goofy dog, Merlin for making sure she always gets up on time and remembers to go for a walk.

Mary Ann Stock (Robber Ned) - Mary Ann Is excited to be in The Bremen Town Musicians as Robber Ned. She loves being a part of the Tecumseh Players; most recently she has played Mrs. Claus in Head Elf this July. In previous seasons she has joined her fellow Players as Harriet in "I Quit", Detective Kane in "Too Many Detectives in the Murder Mansion", and Mental in "Superhero Sanitarium". Her roots in the theater go way back and she is grateful to be a part of this fantastically talented and gracious group. She would like to thank her family for supporting her in this zany hobby.

Maelle Francis (Sound) - Maelle is a rising Senior at Tecumseh High School, and she is proud to be running sound for her third Players show this Summer! While she has been performing onstage since Kindergarten, she has happily picked up more technical or backstage roles over the past few years. When she isn't helping out with local shows, Maelle enjoys playing Sudoku, spending time at the library, and doing her calculus homework. She would like to thank Piper Holtz, Ross Travis, and the entire Tecumseh Players family for their support these past couple of months and throughout the years. Enjoy the show!

Sarah Buxton (Robber Ed) - Sarah is delighted to be back on stage after directing last month’s one show, where she successfully convinced everyone she is a responsible adult despite ample evidence to the contrary. This is her sixth time on stage with the Players and she enjoys every minute of it.

Being a part of this show has provided countless opportunities to laugh, learn, and grow. Sarah is endlessly grateful to the cast, crew, and audience who make every production worth the late nights and inevitable songs that will be stuck in her head for months to come.

Thank you for supporting local theatre—and for laughing at the jokes that are actually supposed to be funny.

Thank you to Knot Your Average Family Soft Pretzel for being our August vendor for the show.

Thank you to Pixie Light Photography for the time and effort put into the amazing production photos she provides us.

As always, these productions would not be possible without the help and hard work from the Tecumseh Parks and Recreation Department.

Thank you
